About the film
Samir, a Palestinian butcher working at an Israeli supermarket, is accused of tearing down the Israeli hostage posters in the break room. Samir sets out to prove his innocence in order to keep the job he desperately needs.

MEET THE director
Meyer Levinson‑Blount is an emerging Israeli writer-director whose work explores social tensions and questions of identity. His short film Butcher’s Stain (2025) gained international attention, winning a Silver Medal at the Student Academy Awards and earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Live-Action Short Film, marking a major early achievement in his filmmaking career.
