About the film
Starring Idan Amedi and Tali Sharon, this gripping mystery follows Daphna, a 41-year-old former promising detective in Tel Aviv now stuck in the quiet town of Afula. With her days filled with petty crimes and awkward questions about not having children, Daphna's world is turned upside down when Orly Elimeleh, a beautiful and rebellious army widow, goes missing. As she digs deeper, Daphna is troubled by one question: why is no one searching for her? Driven by fear and determination, Daphna will stop at nothing to uncover the truth behind Orly's disappearance.

Q&A with Maya Dreifuss Director
Maya Dreifuss is a Filmmaker, senior Professor and the Head of the film production department at the Steve Tisch Film and Television school at Tel-Aviv University. Highway 65 is her second feature film, following her award-winning debut feature She Is Coming Home (2013), and previous two short films that featured in Cannes Film Festival.

Tali Sharon is an Israeli actress known for her work in film and television. Her film credits include Lemarit Ayin, Norman, and She’s Coming Home (directed by Maya Dreifus), for which she won the Best Actress Award. On television, she has appeared in series such as Srugim, BeTipul, False Flag, and others.
