About the film

However, when an experimental LSD treatment leads him to new insights, his revolutionary message is tragically overlooked. A powerful exploration of trauma, revelation, and the complexities of Ka-Tzetnik’s legacy.

MEET THE director
Assaf Lapid graduated from sam Spiegel film & TV school in Jeruslaem and has been working as an editor ever since. Lapid edited numerous award-winning films, including Cause of Death (2018), selected at IDFA, and Farewell Herr Schwarzz (2014), winner of ten international awards, including DokLeipzig. The Return from the Planet (2022) is Assaf’s directorial debut.
