We are thrilled to share that “We Will Dance Again” (Od Nachzor Lirkod), the powerful and deeply moving documentary by acclaimed Israeli director Yariv Mozer, has won the Emmy Award for Best Documentary Film at the News & Documentary Emmy Awards in New York.
Produced by HOT8, SIPUR, and Slutzky Productions, the film tells the story of the Nova music festival massacre on October 7th, 2023. With raw, unflinching honesty, it offers firsthand testimonies from survivors and the families of victims, documenting not only the horror and pain — but also the strength, hope, and unbreakable spirit of a community that insists on healing and dancing again.
The film was part of Seret’s official program during our most recent festival, where it screened to deeply engaged and emotional audiences across multiple cities.
In London, the screening of We Will Dance Again sparked a wave of protest from anti-Israel organizations, some of which attempted to pressure cinemas into cancelling the event. But the screening went ahead as planned — and was met with standing ovations and overwhelming support from the public.
“At Seret, we stand by the power of cinema — especially when it tells stories that the world needs to hear,” said Odelia Haroush, Seret’s co-founder. “We are proud to have screened We Will Dance Again across the globe. This film gives voice to the victims of the Nova tragedy and ensures their story will not be silenced.”
The Emmy win is a powerful moment for Israeli cinema — and for all who believe in art as a force for remembrance, healing, and truth.
Congratulations to Yariv Mozer and the entire creative team.
We are honored to have played a small part in this film’s journey.
